Arlington motorcyclist dies after collision with co-worker, police say

A motorcyclist died early Saturday in Arlington after a collision with another motorcyclist, police said.

Arlington police responded to the crash at 3:09 a.m. in the 3500 block of E. Division Street, according to a police press release. Officers think the two motorcyclists were traveling together, one behind the other, when the one in front began slowing down for a red light. The second motorcyclist hit the first, and both were ejected from their seats.

They were taken to a hospital, and the motorcyclist who rear-ended the driver in front of him later died. The other motorcyclist is expected to live.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the motorcyclist who died as 50-year-old Timothy Jackson of Arlington.

Police think the motorcyclists were co-workers.
