Woman dies in south Fort Worth driveway Friday after shooting on I-20, police say

A woman was found dead Friday in a south Fort Worth driveway after she was shot on Interstate 20, police said.

The victim and her brother had been driving in the 2700 block of I-20 when an assailant fired at least one round in their direction from a dark vehicle, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Summer Stream Drive about 4:15 p.m. and found the woman lying in a driveway, police said. She had been shot in her upper torso.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office had not released her name or age as of Sunday.

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the killing and police did not announce an arrest.

There was another shooting on I-20 in Fort Worth on Thursday. An assailant fired rounds upon a vehicle in which there was a woman and two men. The woman, 31-year-old Castatanika Marie Guy, was killed and one of the men was injured.
