Man, 50 to 60, hit by vehicle in south Fort Worth, critically injured, police say
A vehicle hit and critically injured a man who stepped out into traffic in south Fort Worth on Wednesday night, police said.
The man, whose identity wasn’t released, is 50 to 60 years old, police spokesman Officer Bradley Perez said in an email. He didn’t have an update on his condition on Friday morning.
The driver stopped, he said, and no charges were brought against him as of Friday morning. The “accident is still being investigated,” he said.
The crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Avenue and East Berry Street, Perez said. Police believe the man had stepped in front of the oncoming vehicle in the rain before he was hit.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Perez said.
Traffic investigators are looking into the crash, he said.
