Missing Arlington teen’s car found ‘under suspicious circumstances,’ police say

The car belonging to a missing Arlington teenager was found in Fort Worth on Saturday under suspicious circumstances, leading authorities from the two cities to question whether a crime occurred.

Evan Deshaun Lacey, 19, was last seen leaving his family’s Arlington residence around 7 a.m. Tuesday in a blue 2006 Dodge Magnum, Arlington police said in a news release. He was heading to his job in Grand Prairie.

Arlington officers responded to a report of a missing person from Lacey’s family on Thursday in the 1500 block of Wolf Creek Drive, police said. They told officers their adult son had been missing since Tuesday.

At the time the report was taken, there was no sign Lacey was in danger, police said.

But on Saturday, Fort Worth officers reportedly found his Dodge Magnum in the 4200 block of South Hughes Avenue under suspicious circumstances. Arlington police didn’t specify those circumstances.

Arlington and Fort Worth officers are working in collaboration to investigate whether a crime occurred, police said.

Lacey is described as standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 180-200 pounds, and he has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red jacket and gray sweatpants, police said.

Anyone with information on where Lacey could be is encourage to call 9-1-1 or get in contact with the Arlington or Fort Worth police departments. Those who want to stay anonymous can call Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.
