Music teacher charged with molesting child, police searching for other possible victims
Arlington detectives asked for help Tuesday to find any children who may be potential victims after a music teacher was recently charged with molesting a child.
Charles Reid Rogers Jr., 66, of Arlington, was arrested and charged in February with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. A Tarrant County grand jury has not yet considered the case.
Rogers is accused of molesting a child in July 2017, according to Tarrant County court records. Arlington police did not provide any further details on the case.
Rogers, who also went by the name of Reid Rogers, had been employed as a guitar teacher at Sounds Good School of Music in the 5700 block of Forest Bend Drive in Arlington, Arlington police said.
He had been a music teacher for about 20 years, Arlington police said.
Anyone with additional information on the case should call Arlington Detective Trisha Walker with the department’s crimes against children unit at 817-795-9992 ext. 141 or email her at trisha.walker@arlingtontx.gov
