Goodwill to open a new 17,000-square-foot store in North Texas and hire 40 people
Goodwill North Central Texas is gearing up to open a new store in the Metroplex.
The Fort Worth-based nonprofit announced Monday that an 17,000-square-foot store is coming to Arlington at 4400 Little Road, suite 105. The new store will be located in the Southwest Plaza shopping center, near a Cicis Pizza and Dollar Tree.
Remodeling has already begun on the Arlington store, which is expected to open in mid-June.
“Every Goodwill store plays a crucial role in funding our mission, turning donations and purchases into life-changing opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas, in a press release.
Goodwill expects the new store to create 35 to 40 jobs in Arlington.
A hiring event, with on-the-spot hiring, is set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 29. Goodwill is looking to hire a variety of employees, including part-time, full-time, key holders and assistant managers.
Pay starts at $14.25 an hour and includes employee discounts and benefits. To learn more about jobs or to apply online, visit here.
