Woman killed, 2 others injured in head-on crash near I-35W in Burleson

One person was killed and two other people were injured Tuesday morning in a head-on wreck on a ramp to Interstate 35W, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Judith Gazaway, 79, of Burleson, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Tuesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police responded to the major accident shortly after 9:30 a.m. near the northbound ramp of Interstate 35W at W. Bethesda Road.

The crash was listed as in the 2500 block of S. Burleson Boulevard, according to MedStar reports.

One vehicle was northbound near the ramp when it collided with another vehicle which was southbound on a service road, police said.
