When does Terry Black’s BBQ open? And which Fort Worth restaurants are open Christmas?
Christmas week can be barbecue week in Fort Worth.
But not for lunch Christmas Day.
The smoke signals at Terry Black’s BBQ show the new $6 million barbecue palace will be open on schedule Dec. 19 at 2926 W. Seventh St., just in time for holiday brisket.
But no barbecue restaurant is open for Christmas Day lunch, and only the Woodshed Smokehouse is open for dinner. So buy the brisket ahead, or dine at a family restaurant lunch or a hotel buffet.
More soon on Terry Black’s BBQ, a Michelin Guide “recommended” restaurant for its flagship Austin location. It opened after a family split with the 92-year-old legacy Black’s in Lockhart.
