Popular Fort Worth enchilada restaurant on the move again, maybe to downtown
The Enchiladas Olé flagship location is on the move again, seeking a new location — maybe downtown — after a landlord dispute at its current restaurant.
Enchiladas Olé has left Forest Park Boulevard after five years but remains open at a west side location, 6473 Camp Bowie Blvd.
Olé is considering two new locations including at a yet-unidentified downtown location with “plenty of parking,” founder Mary Patino Perez wrote on Facebook and in a message.
The Camp Bowie location is serving complimentary margaritas and offering free delivery to former TCU-area customers from the Forest Park location, she wrote.
A suburban Olé has yet to reopen after leaving North Tarrant Parkway in favor of a yet-unseen location on Heritage Trace Parkway.
Enchiladas Olé and its Forest Park Boulevard landlord could not agree on the cost of kitchen upgrades and air conditioning repairs, Perez wrote on Facebook.
The restaurant, known for serving a choice of enchiladas 35 ways with seven different artisan sauces, originally opened in 2013 on North Sylvania Avenue near Race Street.
It is named No. 7 on USA Today’s list of the “10 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants in Texas” and also is ranked in a “10 Best Queso” list.
Perez is also opening a barbecue restaurant, Holy ‘Que, at 4307 Camp Bowie Blvd.
