Upscale Southern restaurant in Clearfork abruptly closes for good

Fixe Southern House in Clearfork quietly closed for good on Thursday, June 11.

A sign posted to the front door reads “The Fixe family has made the difficult decision to close our doors. Thank you for eight years of support and sharing your celebrations with us. We wish you all the best!”

The southern restaurant’s Google profile is labeled “permanently closed.” Those with future reservations also got cancellation notifications.

The restaurant’s website has no trace of the Fort Worth location, just details about the flagship Fixe restaurant in Austin, which remains open.

Fixe Southern House did not give the Star-Telegram a reason for the closure. However, owner Keith House wrote the following in an emailed statement:

“We are sad to have our time in Fort Worth come to an end. We have been blessed with a wonderful team and loyal guests. We will look forward to seeing you at Fixe in Austin! Love, The Fixe Family”

The upscale restaurant served southern comfort food. Customers raved over the biscuits, shrimp and grits, griddle burger and brunch.

Fixe Fort Worth opened at 5282 Marathon Ave. inside The Shops at Clearfork in 2018.
