‘Poor cleanliness’ cited in recent Arlington health inspections; one business shut
One Arlington restaurant failed, and another restaurant was closed by the health department in the latest round of city inspections, according to the report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from April 19 through May 2 and 205 inspections.
Arlington inspections function on a 100-point scale: a score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor.
First ToFu and Fast Food, 2505 E. Arkansas Lane, did not have a score. The restaurant was closed due to critical violations including improper food holding temperatures and storage techniques, lack of hand hygiene and overall poor cleanliness, city officials said. The location was reopened after a follow-up inspection found the violations had been corrected.
China Harbor, 3512 S. Cooper St., had a score of 67. The restaurant failed inspection due to poor cleanliness and necessary repairs, and improper food preparation procedures. The location is scheduled to undergo a follow-up inspection soon, city officials said.
