New West 7th indoor mini golf course is slated to open in the summer
The Dirdie Birdie, a new restaurant, bar and mini golf course, is coming to Cowtown this summer.
The indoor mini golf course will feature 12 Fort Worth-themed holes. Putters should come hungry, as there is also a full restaurant and bar. In fact, customers can choose to visit just for the restaurant or just for the putt-putt course.
The Dirdie Birdie is a Texas-born and Texan-owned company. Co-founders Vik and Lina Khasat started the “putt and sip” concept in Austin and are now opening the second location here in Fort Worth.
The new digs will be at 2821 Morton St., the former home of Bottled Blonde and Backyard Bar, which closed in 2024.
The West 7th Entertainment District does not have many “entertainment” options besides restaurants and bars. The only other concept that is activity-centered is Sandbox VR a block over at 2956 Crockett St.
Here’s what guests can look forward to.
What’s on the menu at The Dirdie Birdie?
If guests don’t care for a round of mini-golf, they can go to just have a good meal.
The scratch-kitchen menu in Austin has been curated by Chef Nic Yanes. A spokesperson told the Star-Telegram that the Fort Worth menu at Dirdie Birdie will have a lot of the same items as the Austin location but with a few new items. The menu is still in the works, but think elevated bar food.
You can start with street-corn queso or Nashville hot chicken sliders. There are also unique options like the yellowfin tuna crudo and the pork cheek “par 3” tacos.
For mains, there is 24-hour coffee braised short rib served with mashed potatoes and also a double smashed wagyu burger. For pickier eaters they also serve chicken tenders and a turkey club.
Cocktails include the Strawnold Palmer, which has strawberry lemonade, iced tea and vodka. A (Don’t) Call Me Old Fashioned has bourbon, smoked peach, cardamom and toasted almond bitters. There are also mocktail offerings as well as a full list of beer and some options for wine.

What will the mini golf course be like at The Dirdie Birdie?
The 12-hole course will feature some of Fort Worth’s most iconic landmarks.
“Fort Worth has a personality that feels alive, historic and completely authentic, and that’s exactly what we want The Dirdie Birdie Fort Worth to be,” said Khasat.
Some holes will feature odes to the historic Stockyards, Sundance Square, Panther City and the Fort Worth Courthouse.
The course also has PuttView technology, a system that tracks the ball and allows guests to play interactive games like “putt-pong.”
