Chick-fil-A’s newest Fort Worth location will give away free food on opening day
A fast-growing corner of far north Fort Worth will soon have another option for a quick meal at a familiar chain.
Chick-fil-A will open a new location along Avondale-Haslet Road and U.S. 287 on Thursday, Oct. 9, bringing giveaways and a special opening-day promotion for guests.
The interchange is rapidly developing with new stores and restaurants, including a Lowe’s Home Improvement that opened in May and a Texas Roadhouse in July.
The Avondale Chick-fil-A is part of the company’s growing presence across North Texas. Leaders say the location is designed with families in mind while also supporting efforts to fight hunger.
So what should customers expect? Here’s what to know.
Where will the new Chick-fil-A be located?
The Avondale restaurant is at 13121 U.S. 287, along the southbound service road near a Texas Roadhouse and Starbucks. It will serve guests Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and per usual, will be closed on Sundays.
The new restaurant will have an indoor play space for children and offer multiple service options like dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, catering, delivery and mobile ordering.
To mark the opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to the Tarrant Area Food Bank and join the company’s Shared Table program, which redistributes surplus food to local nonprofits.
What can customers expect on opening day?
On Oct. 9, this Chick-fil-A is doing a “Cows Eat Free” promotion.
Anyone who arrives wearing cow spots or a cow-themed accessory can receive one free entrée or kid’s meal, either inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Breakfast options include the chicken biscuit, Egg White Grill or Chick-n-Minis, while lunch and dinner choices include the original chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, grilled nuggets and classic nuggets.
The offer is limited to one meal per person in cow attire, while supplies last.
Who is the owner of the new Chick-fil-A?
The restaurant will be locally owned and operated by Johannes Hillerbrand, who began his career with Chick-fil-A in 2008.
Hillerbrand has previously operated restaurants in North Carolina and other parts of Texas, experience that he says helped prepare him for leading the new Fort Worth location.
“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside amazing operators who have invested in my development and personal growth,” Hillerbrand said. “With the opening of my first restaurant, I’m excited to extend that same support to my team and create an environment that provides care to the community.”
