These Frisco restaurants weren’t holding food at safe temperatures: inspectors
Multiple Frisco restaurants were noted to have issues with roaches or unsafe food temperatures in the latest round of city health inspections, according to the inspection reports.
The reports compiled by the Star-Telegram contain health violations from July 13 through July 26 and the results of 79 inspections.
Frisco’s restaurant inspections function on a demerit system: 0 demerits is considered a perfect score. When an establishment has more than 30 demerits, the inspector may close the location at their discretion. That decision is based on the nature of violations, the establishment’s history and other risk factors.
No restaurant scored over 30 in this round of inspections, but three had high demerit scores:
- Mirchi Indian Cuisine, located at 12255 Teel Parkway, had a score of 28. The restaurant was noted to have issues with roaches.
- Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, located at 4950 Eldorado Parkway, had a score of 27. The inspector observed food items being held at an inadequate temperature, resulting in the disposal of the food.
- Chalo India, located at 11010 Panther Creek Parkway, had a score of 25. Food items were left out of temperature control for extended periods and had to be discarded.
Pho Que Huong, located at 5110 Eldorado Parkway, had a score of 21. All items in the restaurant’s prep cooler were being held at inadequate temperatures and had to be discarded, according to the report.
