Two Arlington restaurants score low on most recent health inspections; no closures

Two restaurants scored less than 75 and four restaurants are due for follow-ups in Arlington’s health inspections from Jan. 8 to Jan. 14, according to city data. There were no failures or closures out of the 73 inspections.

T’s Buka, located at 807 E. Arkansas Lane, passed with a score of 72. Pho 18, at 2216 New York Ave. Suite 205, passed with a score of 74. S&S Cheesesteaks, at 913 West Pioneer Parkway, received a score of 82. Cotton Patch Cafe #35, at 461 E. Interstate 20 Highway, received a score of 89.

They all passed their follow-up inspections.

Arlington inspection data is based on a 100-point system. A score of 100 is a perfect score and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Restaurants that score less than 75 require re-inspections.

Follow-up inspections also can be ordered for other reasons, but Arlington inspection reports don’t give details of each restaurant’s violations.

Three restaurants had perfect scores, including Meadowbrook Park Golf Course concessions, at 1300 Dugan St., and McDonald’s and Walmart Supercenter #5416 Meat Market, both located at 915 E. Randol Mill Road.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for Jan. 8th - Jan. 14th, 2023. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
