The Fort Worth Star-Telegram wants to know how you celebrate Pride Month.

June was nationally proclaimed as Pride Month by President Joe Biden on May 31, recognizing the LGBTQ community’s fight for justice, inclusion, and equality.

Pride Month is typically celebrated in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. The first Pride march was held in New York City in June 1970, on the first anniversary of the start of the Stonewall Uprising.

North Texas has several Pride Month events happening this year, from parades to festivals.
