FitCon Texas offers beefy lineup for Fort Worth exposition. Who’s coming?

Some of the strongest men and women in the country will lift and pose their way to Fort Worth this weekend for an exposition heavily focused on fitness.

FitCon Texas will make its way to the Panther Island Pavilion Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are still available and start at $25, with packages that include extra goodies available at a higher price.

Created in Utah in 2014, the event has grown over the years to include events in different states, such as Texas. Florida is next up to host the event, when the expo travels to Miramar in November.

The core belief behind the event is to encourage everyone to find their fit, no matter the avenue. It could be bodybuilding, power lifting, CrossFit, working out or even axe-throwing, the driving force of the expo is to encourage people to find an activity they love doing that makes them active, both physically and mentally.

With that in mind, FitCon has plenty on its schedule for expo goers to do and see.

Celebrity guests such as competitive bodybuilder and women’s Olympia winner Dana Linn Bailey, retired bodybuilder and actor Kai Greene and strongman competitor Robert Oberst, will be at the expo Saturday.

The expo will host power lifting and wrestling competitions, fitness classes and kid-friendly activities. Attendees can also listen to panels on how to grow their brand, setting goals and finding inner strength.

The show floor will be open to vendors selling merchandise, weight lifting gear and apparel.

Panther Island Pavilion is an outdoor venue and the expo is encouraging guests to bring their own chair, blanket or tent to lounge on. Coolers filled with food and beverages are allowed and parking at the event cost’s $10.
