Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’ unleashes season 3 teaser for Fort Worth-filmed show
Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” has unleashed its first teaser for season 3.
The Paramount+ series began filming in Fort Worth in October 2025 and wrapped in March. The espionage thriller follows CIA operative Joe (Zoe Saldaña) as she balances her “personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.”
Paramount+ announced last week that “Lioness” will premiere its third season on Sunday, Aug. 2.
On Thursday, the streamer released a minute-long teaser that paints a picture of what to expect this season. Here’s what to know.
‘Lioness’ season 3 teaser released
The teaser opens with Joe’s team, decked out in full combat gear, raiding a house and then fleeing from an explosion.
Joe is interrogating someone, who says they know what she does. Quick flashes of gunfire, explosions and action are seen as the teaser ramps up.
In the last few seconds, a truck smashes into a car on what appears to be University Drive in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. This would make sense, since the production closed down the roadway in late March to film vehicular stunt and collision scenes.

More on ‘Lioness’
“Lioness” season 3 will be here before people know it.
“Hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life,” the season 3 synopsis states.
Over its five-month shoot, “Lioness” filmed in and around Fort Worth.
Scenes were shot at SGS Studios in the AllianceTexas area in far north Fort Worth, in downtown and around TCU in the University West and Berkeley Place neighborhoods.
In addition to Saldaña, “Lioness” stars Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier and “Yellowstone” alum Ian Bohen.
“Lioness” seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Paramount+.
