Why Lego animals are coming to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden this summer

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden will play host to more than 40 Lego sculptures this summer.

In the new Nature POP! exhibit by Sean Kenney, a doe and her fawn, a bushy-tailed fox and a sneaky panther are just a few of the installations made from more than 800,000 small plastic Lego blocks.

Kenney is a New York-based Lego professional and one of the world’s most celebrated Lego artists. The Botanic Garden has worked with him before in 2021 to bring “Nature Connects,” where he built Lego lilly pads, butterflies and rose sculptures. The Nature POP! exhibit will be similar.

The Lego exhibit is a reminder that everything in nature is connected, just like each Lego block in each sculpture. If you pull one piece away, the whole picture changes.
