‘The Chosen’ begins casting extras for season 7 filming in North Texas
“The Chosen” is beginning to cast extras for season 7 filming in North Texas.
The Biblical drama, based on the life of Jesus, has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian since season 3. The show held its season 5 world premiere in Red Oak in March 2025, ahead of its three-part theatrical release over consecutive weekends just a couple weeks later.
Earlier this month, “The Chosen” announced a Nov. 15 premiere for its sixth season. The first six episodes will release on Prime Video, followed by a theatrical release for the finale on March 12, 2027.
Texas-based Brock Allen Casting recently posted a couple of notices for filming in Midlothian later this month. Here’s what to know.
How to be cast in ‘The Chosen’ season 7
Brock Allen posted a now-deleted post on Instagram over the weekend looking for men and women aged 18 and older with olive to deep skin tones.
This is a paid role and filming will take place in Midlothian from late April to late May, per the notice. No other details were released for the roles.
Another notice was posted on Monday, April 20, looking for 10-14 month old babies with olive to deep skin tones.
Again, this is a paid role and filming will take place in Midlothian on April 27-28. To submit for the role, email the following details to Brock Allen at thechosenbacasting@gmail.com:
- Full name
- City of residence
- Height, weight and clothing size
- Age of child
- Two recent color photos with a piece of paper that has the current date on it

Season 5 followed Holy Week and the Last Supper, and season 6 will cover the Crucifixion and the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life before he is nailed to the cross. The show’s seventh and final season will cover the Resurrection.
“The Chosen” season 7 premiere will have a theatrical release on March 31, 2028. It’s unclear when the rest of the season will release and how many episodes are in it.
