Place a bid on a classic car this weekend at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth
Want to buy (or just admire) cars from “Deadpool 2” or “Supernatural”?
For the first time ever, Mecum Auctions is bringing its cars to Fort Worth.
From Wednesday, Oct. 29 until Saturday, Nov. 1, an assortment of 1,500 shiny cars will be at Dickies Area up for auction, including five private collections.
One of the collections comes from Walmart tycoon Jack Shewmaker, which features a plethora of rare pickup trucks. Another collection from Tom Katinic, which has cars from all sorts of vehicles featured in movies and TV shows. And the Redefined Legacy Collection showcases Corvettes, Camaros and Chevelles.
Flashers like the Ford Shelby Super Snake, Ferrari GTOs and a Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe will also be there.
So whether you want to spend some cash, or just awe at some snazzy cars, here’s what to know.
What kind of cars will be at the Mecum auction in Fort Worth?
There will be at least 38 Camaros at the auction, according to a press release. Visitors can also expect Corvettes, Ferraris, Chevelles and even pickup trucks. There will be a mix of both vintage and newer modern vehicles.

- 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo
- 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
- 1969 Chevrolet Nickey Camaro Stage III
- 1937 Chevrolet Custom Pickup
- 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty Custom
- 1947 Frazer Manhattan Sedan
- 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (featured in “The Interview” and “Deadpool 2”)
- 1969 Mercury Cougar (featured in “Bad Times at the El Royale” and “Supernatural”)
- 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe
- 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback

How to attend the Mecum car auction at Dickies Arena
The Mecum car auction will be at Dickies Arena from Oct. 29 until Nov. 1 beginning at 8 a.m. every day.
One day tickets are $30. A three-day pass is $75. Children under 12 years old are free. Purchase tickets online in advance.
Parking for Dickies Arena is dependent on the event and is not included in the auction general admission price. Parking is located at 3434 Trail Drive.
How to watch the Mecum car auction
If you cannot make the Mecum car auction in person, you can still watch online at Mecum’s website or on ESPN+.
Mecum streams the auction in its entirety every day, and viewers can also place a bid online.
ESPN+ will start streaming the auction at noon on Thursday, Oct. 30.
