Don’t want to get spooked? Mark the season at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Fort Worth Botanic Garden is celebrating fall and Halloween this month with ¡Celebramos!, a family-friendly event that highlights Hispanic culture and traditions.
While Halloween activities can be frightful, the Botanic Garden is offering events that children will enjoy, too.
These events are taking place throughout the month of October. Here’s what to know.
¡Celebramos!: Fiesta de Cultura Viva at Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Fiesta de Cultura Viva will be on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
This event features the following:
- From 10 to 11 a.m.: Live Mariachi Sangre Azteca performances
- From 11 to 11:30 a.m.: Fort Worth Opera performance
- From 11:30 a.m. to noon: Abuelas Folklorico dancing performances
- From noon to 1 p.m.: Live Mariachi Sangre Azteca performances
- From 1 to 1:30 p.m.: Fort Worth Opera performance
- From 1:30 to 2 p.m.: Folklorico performance
- From 2 to 3:30 p.m.: Quinceañera runway show by La Gran Plaza
- From 3:30 to 4 p.m.: Ballet Folklorico of Fort Worth performance
- At 4 p.m.: Farewell Mariachi performance
Tickets are free for children 5 years old and younger. Children 6 years old to 15 years old are $6. Adults are $12. Seniors who are 65 years old and older are $10. Members are free. Purchase tickets online on the Fort Worth Botanic Garden website.
¡Celebramos!: Family Movie Night
Family movie night will feature the film “Coco” on Sunday, Oct. 12 beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets for a family of four are only $5. Purchase tickets online on the Fort Worth Botanic Garden website.
The Botanic Garden recommends arriving early to secure a good seat.
¡Celebramos!: Día de Muertos
Día de Muertos will take place on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Vistas until the Rose Garden Shelter House.
There will be more than 150,000 blooms down the rose garden stairs and a Day of the Dead altar as well as performances by local mariachi and folklórico groups.
Admission will be half-priced on this day. Tickets are free for children 5 years old and younger. Children 6 years old to 15 years old are $3. Adults are $6. Seniors who are 65 years old and older are $5. Members are free. Purchase tickets online on the Fort Worth Botanic Garden website.
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is located at 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd. in Fort Worth. They are open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
