Hundreds of North Texas men pranked with matching shirts at Father’s Day mass

On Sunday, June 17, men in Coppell put on a shirt they got as a Father’s Day gift and went to mass — all to find 200 other men in the exact polo.

Kristen Combo, a self-proclaimed “Catholic homeschooling mom of 5” with more than 11,000 followers on Instagram, posted an Instagram video that shows the dads of St. Ann Catholic Parish realizing they were wearing the same shirt.

“There’s another one!” one man wearing the polo exclaimed in the video, seeing another polo-clad dad.

A few moms in the St. Ann community came up with the idea to prank their husbands by bringing them to mass in the same shirt, and started a group chat about a week and a half before Father’s Day, according to Combo’s post. More than 200 moms ended up getting in on the prank.

“The courtyard was full of joy, belly laughs, and ‘you too?!’ moments that made it all worth it,” Combo wrote in the post’s caption.

Each mom bought the $65.99 Sock Religious shirt for mass at the church that serves more than 8,000 families, according to the St. Ann Parish website.

The video has more than 1 million likes as of Tuesday.

“My favorite thing about these videos is the amount of men who all wore what their wives told them to wear,” one comment from user @lorielcc read, amassing over 80,000 likes.

Combo thanked the dads for being good sports and credited the moms for pulling off the prank.

“Happy Father’s Day—we love you!!!” Combo wrote.
