Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith is expected to return to practice Monday, coach Jason Garrett said.

Smith has missed two practices in each of the past two weeks with back tightness. Smith and the Cowboys don’t view the back issue as too serious and were holding him out more as a precaution.

Also expected to return to practice is wide receiver Brice Butler, who has been slowed by an ankle injury.

The Cowboys still have several players being held out with hamstring injuries including linebacker Sean Lee and defensive backs Anthony Brown, Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie.

Defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford (ankle), offensive lineman Joe Looney (toe) and tight end Connor Hamlett (ankle) are also sidelined.
