Rangers sign two infielders to minor league deals
The Texas Rangers signed infielders Will Middlebrooks and Doug Bernier to minor league contracts for the 2017 season.
Both will be invited to major league spring training.

He had stints with the Red Sox in 2012-14 and the Padres in 2015.
Bernier, 36, hit .275 with 10 homers and 47 RBIs in 120 games with Triple A Round Rock in 2016. He played all four infield positions for the Express. Bernier had major league stints with the Rockies in 2008 and the Twins in 2013-15.
