Southlake Carroll rides junior’s fourth-quarter TDs past Oklahoma school

Junior running back T.J. McDaniel scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead the Dragons past the Tigers 21-14 on Friday in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Key players: Carroll got on the board first with a second-quarter touchdown pass from Will Bowers to Cade Bell that covered 34 yards. The Tigers tied the game 7-all when Zach Marcheselli returned a fumble 85 yards. A 1-yard scoring run by Lafayette Wright gave Broken Arrow a 14-7 lead.

Key stat: Carroll outgained the Tigers 430 yards to 209, offsetting four Dragons turnovers.

Records: Carroll 1-0, Broken Arrow 1-1.
