High school football coach collapses on sideline in Dallas
A high school football coach collapsed and was rushed to the hospital during a game Friday night at Kincaide Stadium in Dallas.
Venus assistant coach John Pease collapsed early in the second quarter in a game against Dallas Madison. Trainers attended to him until paramedics arrived and helped him to the bench. He was then wheeled off the field and taken to an area hospital.
It was the season-opener for the Class 4A Bulldogs. Venus is a town of almost 3,500 on Highway 67 between Alvarado and Midlothian.
