Aledo’s Big Game James Williams commits to Big Sky’s Montana State

Named Defensive MVP, Aledo’s James Williams finished with 12 tackles, two for loss in a 24-16 win over Calallen as the Bearcats on the Class 5A Division II state title last December.

With the 2017 season just around the corner, the senior defensive tackle committed to Big Sky school Montana State on Saturday. He has other offers from Army and Air Force.

Williams finished last year tied for third on the team with 107 tackles. He was third with 11 tackles for loss and fourth with eight sacks. He also had two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

The 5-foot-11 and 290-pound Bearcat has been a key member for Aledo during his high school career. Williams was awarded with two all-state selections last season and has been named all-district all three years.
