Mansfield Lake Ridge routs Midlothian
Mansfield Lake Ridge junior quarterback Jason Beam raced 26 yards for a touchdown on the second play of the game and the Eagles never trailed in a 66-45 defeat of Midlothian in a District 10-5A game at Newsom Stadium.
Key players: Beam finished with 370 passing yards, completing 15 of 22 with three touchdowns. He added 39 yards on four carries, with the TD. Eagles wideout Zach Jackson caught a 50-yard touchdown pass with 8:19 left in the first quarter, and finished the game with three receptions for 75 yards and the score. Tyler Robinson and T.J. Graham also caught TD passes for Lake Ridge.
Key stats: Lake Ridge running back Darrius Lee rushed six times for 93 yards with three touchdowns, while teammate Joseph Rowe rushed for 66 yards with one touchdown.
