FW Country Day sophomore Liberty Croutch won dfwVarsity girls basketball player of the week for games Feb. 5-10 after recording a double-double vs. Greenhill. She finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.


Croutch edged out Colleyville Heritage senior Bryn Gerlich, who had 16 points and eight boards as the Panthers beat Grapevine to clinch the outright District 8-5A championship.


Dunbar junior Jeremiah Keys scored 29 points vs. Richland.

FW Dunbar junior Jeremiah Keys won the boys vote after scoring a game-high 29 points, including 15 in the second quarter in a 72-71 win over Richland that forced a three-way tie atop 8-5A.


Keller Central senior Bryant Young came in second place after he scored 22 points and went 6 of 8 from downtown vs. Fossil Ridge.
