TCU, Dixon add another 4-star commitment to 2017 basketball class
TCU and first-year coach Jamie Dixon gained a second four-star commitment of the summer for next season’s signing class.
Kevin Samuel, a 6-foot-10 center from Houston, announced on Twitter that he has picked the Horned Frogs. The four-star recruit reportedly held scholarship offers from much of the Big 12, including Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, plus Texas A&M of the SEC.

Samuel is rated the No. 7 recruit in Texas and eighth nationally at his position by 247Sports.
He joins four-star guard R.J. Nembhard of Keller in the TCU 2017 signing class, which also includes forward Kouat Noi, an Australian who played at Montverde (Fla.) Prep.
The Frogs’ 2018 class has one commitment, guard Kendric Davis of Houston.
TCU also added a four-star player in its 2016 class when guard Jaylen Fisher signed.
The commitment from Samuel was praised on Twitter by recruiting analysts.
