Former UNLV assistant Ryan Miller has been hired to join the staff of new basketball coach Jamie Dixon, TCU announced Tuesday.

He is the second assistant coach to join the staff. David Patrick’s hiring was announced last week.

Miller spent the last two seasons at UNLV, where he was credited with helping produce the country’s No. 5 and No. 11 recruiting classes. UNLV’s Rashad Vaughn was a first-round NBA pick last year.

Miller, 40, has also been an assistant at Auburn, New Mexico, Pepperdine and Memphis, where he coached under John Calipari.

He is the brother of NBA veteran Mike Miller, who played for two Miami Heat championship teams.
