TCU Basketball to host Florida in Big 12-SEC Challenge

TCU men's basketball will host Florida on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 as part of the Big 12-SEC Challenge.

The Horned Frogs are 3-2 in the challenge, including a loss at Vanderbilt in 2018.

This will be the third time TCU and Florida have played, the last coming March 17, 1986 in Gainesville, Fla., in the first round of the NIT tournament. The Gators won the previous two games, including their only trip to Fort Worth in 1974.

Florida (21-13) reached the second round of the NCAA tournament this past season, where it lost to Texas Tech. TCU (21-12) reached the NCAA tournament for the first time in 20 years but lost in the first round.

The Big 12-SEC challenge will include all 10 games on the same day for the fourth consecutive season and be televised on ESPN's family of networks. ESPN's College GameDay will originate from one of the sites. Game times and network schedules will be announced at a later date.

Big 12 teams are 29-21 (.580) in the challenge.
