TCU baseball's Friday home opener at Lupton Stadium has been postponed to Saturday because of heavy rains.

TCU and Long Beach State will play a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Fans holding tickets for Friday's game can only use the same ticket for the first game on Saturday. Lupton Stadium will be cleared following Game 1 and fans will need different tickets to re-enter the stadium for the second game.

This is the second postponement for the Horned Frogs. Their home season opener against UT Arlington on Tuesday night was postponed to a later date because of rain. A makeup date will announced soon. Canceled games against Long Beach State are unlikely to be rescheduled.

TCU isn't the only program impacted by the rainy weather in DFW. UTA has rescheduled its weekend series and will now host Stephen F. Austin on Sunday and Monday at Clay Gould Ballpark.

The Mavs were originally scheduled to partake in SFA's tournament, which featured No. 13 Southern Miss, Bradley, and South Dakota State. But heavy rains canceled the tournament.

First pitch on Sunday is slated for 5 p.m. with a 1 p.m. first-pitch on Monday.
