TCU scored all five of its runs with two outs and the bullpen tossed five scoreless innings as the Horned Frogs defeated Long Beach State 5-2 Sunday afternoon to claim the three-game baseball series at Lupton Stadium.

TCU (4-2) struck for two unearned runs in the first after Coby Boulware reached on an error. Zach Humphreys delivered a two-out, two-run triple to give the Horned Frogs the early lead.

After Long Beach State (2-5) tied the score at 2-2 with two fourth-inning runs, TCU answered with two in the bottom of the fourth as Adam Oviedo and Boulware had run-scoring hits.

Sean Wymer started for TCU and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings.

The Horned Frogs' bullpen again shut the door as Haylen Green (1-0) picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Durbin Feltman pitched a scoreless ninth to record his second save.

TCU's bullpen pitched 10 2/3 scoreless innings during the three-game series.

TCU next makes the short trip to Arlington on Tuesday to take on UTA at 6:30 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark.

UTA tops SFA

Logan Austin, a junior from Irving, escaped a bases-loaded jam in the ninth inning Sunday to preserve UT Arlington's 6-5 victory over Stephen F. Austin at Clay Gould Ballpark.

SFA (0-6), which trailed 5-1 through five innings, loaded the bases with one out in the ninth before Austin came on to induce a flyout to left field and a fielder's choice to pick up his first career save.

Christian Hollie sparked the Mavericks' offense by going 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. UTA (2-2) drew 12 walks in a game that had a total of 22 walks.

The teams conclude their two-game series at 1 p.m. Monday at Clay Gould Ballpark. They were originally scheduled to meet during SFA's weekend tournament in Nacogdoches but it was scrapped by heavy rains there and the teams decided to switch to Arlington.
