TCU had two game-tying attempts in the final seconds but couldn't connect in a 66-63 loss to Iowa State in a Big 12 women's basketball game Wednesday night at Schollmaier Arena.

The Horned Frogs (16-9, 7-7), who erased an 11-point deficit late in the third quarter, lost their fourth straight game following seven straight victories.

TCU regained the late with less than three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter before Iowa State (11-14, 5-9) went on a 7-0 run. The Horned Frogs had the final possession trailing by three but missed two 3-point attempts before time expired.

Junior guard Dakota Vann scored a career-high 16 points to lead the Frogs, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Amy Okonkwo added 14 points off the bench and Amber Ramirez scored 10.

Bridget Carleton was the Horned Frogs' kryptonite, dropping 26 points and grabbing nine rebounds in 40 minutes of action.

TCU looks to erase its four-game losing streak Saturday at 2 p.m. against Kansas State in its annual Play4Kay game.
