Mean Green Money: UNT Students approve athletic fees increase
Thanks to its students, the University of North Texas athletic department will have an extra $3.5 million to spend next year.
On Monday, 1,307 of the 2,366 member Student Government Association voted in favor of the proposal that will raise the school's student athletic fee from $10 per semester credit hour to $16.25.
The proposal also decreases student services fee down to $2 per credit hour.
UNT AD Wren Baker:
While 55 percent of votes said yes to the proposal, the election process saw its fair share of controversy.
