A teen was in critical condition Thursday morning after he was wounded in a “chaotic” drive-by shooting in central Arlington, said Sgt. VaNessa Harrison, a police spokeswoman.

The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of McQueary Street, near Fielder Road and Division Street, according to online 911 logs.

“There were multiple rounds all over the crime scene area,” Harrison said. Crime scene investigators set more than 20 markers on the road to show where shell casings were located, according to NBCDFW.com.

There were several other people at the scene of the shooting, Harrison said. None were injured

The wounded teen’s name has not been released. No arrests had been made in the shooting by 8 a.m. Thursday.
