Officials still don’t have name of victim found in Euless grass fire
Authorities by Monday still hadn’t identified a body found after firefighters put out a small grass fire near Texas 360 during the weekend.
As of 11 a.m., officials at the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office said that they did not have a tentative identification of the victim and it could take a while.
Police did not release the gender or approximate age.
Firefighters were called to the fire shortly after 11:30 a.m. in an area near Texas 360 and Harwood Road. “It was a very small grass fire,” said Fire Chief Wes Rhodes on Sunday. No firefighters were injured.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and found the body.
Fire officials alerted police, who began an investigation, said police Lt. Brandon Zachary in a brief news release.
No other details were released by police.
