Second ATM stolen in Hurst this week

A suspect drove an Ford F-450 pickup truck through the front glass at a convenience store in Hurst and stole an ATM early Wednesday morning, police said.

It was the second smash-and-grab ATM theft in Hurst this week.

The first happened Monday around 5 a.m. at 200 Norwood Drive, police said. A white Ford F-250 was driven through a cinderblock wall at the Norwood Quick Stop.

Wednesday’s burglary occured around 3:45 a.m. at the Valero station at 780 West Hurst Blvd, police said.

In both cases, police determined the trucks were stolen from businesses in Hurst “immediately prior” to the burglaries. Both trucks were also found abandoned within a few blocks of each convenience store.

No suspects have been identified.
