Fort Worth boy dies in apparent drowning in Lake Worth
A 3-year-old boy pulled from Lake Worth Saturday evening died despite efforts to revive him on the way to a hospital, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office and emergency officials.
The boy was identified as Sergio Cerrillo of Fort Worth. He was pronounced dead at 6:51 p.m. at Cook Children’s Hospital, according to the coroner’s report. The report gave no cause of death.
The incident occurred at the lake’s Casino Beach. MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said paramedics performed CPR on the boy throughout the transport to the hospital.
