A tractor-trailer fire in south Arlington closed streets in the area on Friday, officials said.

Arlington firefighters were at the scene, the department said in a social media post around 11:15 a.m. The incident occurred on Matlock Road and S.W. Green Oaks Boulevard.

Officials asked residents to avoid the area and said the roads were blocked from all directions. It’s not clear how the fire started. A photo posted by the Arlington Fire Department shows firefighters dousing the front of the tractor-trailer with water.
