A man was hit by a vehicle and killed Sunday morning after a crash on westbound Interstate 20, according to Fort Worth police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Colt Lee Bourland, 40, of Weatherford.

Police said the man was first in a minor crash with a semi-truck around 6:35 a.m. Sunday at I-20 and Farm Road 1187 in west Fort Worth, near the Interstate 30 split. The man exchanged information with the truck driver and called for a tow truck, but while he was outside he was hit by a third vehicle.

The man died at the scene, according to police.

Police did not say if the driver who hit the man stayed at the scene or if they anticipate any criminal charges.

Traffic detectives are investigating the crash.
