This building is taking shape along a stretch of Grapevine Highway (Texas 26), where other development including a new Chick-fil-A is filling empty land.

Where is it? 759 Grapevine Highway, just north of Precinct Line, on the east side of 26.

What’s it going to be? The second Tarrant County location for Natural Grocers, a Colorado-based chain of organic foods, body care products and dietary supplements. The stores also offer nutritional education.

Natural Grocers is the latest entry into the hyper-competitive grocery market in North Texas. Its first local store opened along West 7th Street in Fort Worth on June 28. It also has one in Coppell, three in Dallas and one in Denton.

The stores are smaller than even a typical specialty grocer. The Hurst location will be 15,000 square feet and is expected to open in December or January, said spokeswoman Krystal Covington.

It’s starting to hire. On Thursday, Sept. 29, the company is holding interviews for 18 positions at the new store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, at 820 Thousand Oaks Dr. in Hurst. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and can apply at https://www.naturalgrocers.com/about/careers/.
