A 62-year-old Fort Worth woman who was lying in the parking lot of a food store in south Fort Worth near Interstate 35W was run over by a vehicle and killed early this week, police said.

Patricia Miles was run over by a motorist who didn't see her on Monday night, said Fort Worth officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.

The accident happened at 852 Davis Ave., which is the location of Sam's Food Store and Grill, according to Google Maps.

Miles was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital and pronounced dead shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Police said they do not why she was lying in the parking lot.
