It’s all over: Dallas Stars eliminated by Minnesota Wild in Game 6
The Dallas Stars’ Stanley Cup dream will have to wait another year.
Defenseman Quinn Hughes scored twice, including the game-winner in the third period, to lift the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 victory over the Stars in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series Thursday at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Wild won the series 4-2 and will advance to face the Central Division-winning Colorado Avalanche in the second round.
The loss ended the Stars’ streak of reaching three straight Western Conference finals.
