Dallas Stars first round playoff schedule against Nashville set

The Dallas Stars open the NHL playoffs against the Nashville Predators beginning at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

The seven-game series moves to American Airlines Center for Games 3 and 4 on April 15 and April 17. Game 6, if necessary, would be at the AAC on April 22.

The Stars clinched the top wild-card spot and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Nashville, which won the Central Division, has been the past four seasons, including a Stanley Cup loss two years ago.

Fox Sports Southwest will broadcast the entire first round with a one-hour pregame show before every game and extended postgame coverage. Shows before and after first round games will broadcast live from Victory Plaza outside of American Airlines Center.

Dallas, which finished fourth in the Central Division, clinched the top wild card spot with its 3-0 win Saturday against Minnesota.

“They are a good team. They’ve got the experience,” Stars goaltender Ben Bishop said. “I think any team that we had the possibility of playing is going to be a good team. We’ve got to get ready for them. We’ve got to do our homework. “It’s a fun place to play. We’ve just got be ready for Game 1.”
