Terry Bradshaw gives his thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff chances
Former Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw explained Sunday why he thought the Dallas Cowboys still had a chance to make the playoffs. He spoke on “Fox NFL Kickoff” before the Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings faced off later Sunday night.
Bradshaw cited the Eagles, who had lost three in a row heading into Sunday, as his primary reason for believing in the Cowboys’ playoff chances.
“[The Cowboys’] defense has gotten better,” Bradshaw said. “Actually, if I were a betting man — and I’m not America, I got like five dollars to put on the game — I would’ve taken Dallas last week. I believe in Dallas after winning three in a row,
“Philadelphia had an opportunity last week against the Chargers and ... they blew it, and I think you're right, they cracked that door open for Dallas. And I’m saying you gotta be kidding me, but you know what? I think the Cowboys might squeeze in.”
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman said he agreed with Bradshaw that the Cowboys could sneak into the playoffs.
The NFL’s Next Gen Stats doesn't agree with Bradshaw and gives the Cowboys only a 7% chance to make the playoffs headed into their “Sunday Night Football” tilt.
Bradshaw and Edelman made their comments before the Eagles snapped their three game losing streak by beating the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 on Sunday.
