Former Dallas Cowboys star leaves game with non-contact knee injury

Former Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons left the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday with a knee injury.

The play happened while Parsons was rushing Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. Parsons planted his foot awkwardly and immediately grabbed his knee while hopping to the ground. The Penn State product was able to walk off the field but needed some assistance to do so.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of the game, and the Packers listed Parsons as out with a knee injury. The Packers ended up losing 34-26 to the Broncos.

After the game, Pro Football Talk reported that there was fear that Parsons had torn his ACL, which would end his season.

Parsons has starred for the Packers this season with 39 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

The Cowboys sent Parsons to Green Bay in a blockbuster trade before the season for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks.
