Dallas Cowboys tried to trade for two top pass rushers, NFL insider says
Coming off their biggest win of the season, the Dallas Cowboys are looking to upgrade a defense that has struggled since trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.
According to Jay Glazer of “Fox NFL Sunday,” the Cowboys inquired about Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson — but fans shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for a deal.
“If they just get their defense to move up there in the ranks a little bit, they would, I think, be maybe a clear-cut favorite. Well, Dallas is trying,” Glazer said. “... They called the Raiders for Maxx Crosby, was told no. They called the Bengals for Trey Hendrickson, was told no. They are calling around for help on defense.”
Glazer also said the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles would be active in the trade market.
The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 4, and the Cowboys have less than two weeks to make any roster improvements.
